Book Blurb:
INTENSE. DANGEROUS. ADDICTIVE.
Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.
Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.
5 Stars!
I had no idea what to expect when I bought this book. I didn't think Abby would be as badass as she was. She seemed like a quiet, good girl that would never do anything bad or something that is frowned upon by society. But boy, was I wrong.
Abby is a spitfire who won't let the likes of Travis Maddox get the best of her. They begin by making this bet, but then because of unseen events a lot changes, fast.
Of course Abby begins to fall of Travis and Travis is smitten with Abby and goes to such lengths to ensure that he loves her that Abby finds all of it unnerving. But in the end their relationship is one I'm very jealous of. Also Travis is going to be added to my list of book boyfriends, that's for sure.
But as you make your way through the book there are so many obstacles in front of Abby and Travis and pushes their relationship to the limit.
This book is amazing. There was never a point in the book that I knew what would happen next. Jamie definitely left me guessing at each new problem thrown at Abby and Travis. It was a whirl-wind of emotions throughout the entire book. This book is one of my favorites and will for sure be one of yours. It's one of the best books I've read in a long time.
