Fighting Love By Abby Niles

I have been waiting for this book to come out for months and it did not disappoint.

5 Stars!

Just months after losing his championship belt and being kicked out of "the cage" for fighting with the CMC's owner's son, Tommy "Lightning" Sparks comes upon his home burning to the ground after a run through his neighborhood with his dog, Warrior. Now what was Tommy supposed to do? Well what would most people do, call their best friends, of course. And in this situation Tommy's best friend is the gorgeous, veterinarian Julie Rodgers. The girl Tommy has been best friends with since they were ten-years-old.

Since Tommy has no where to stay, Julie, of course, offers Tommy her house until he gets back on his feet and Tommy accepts. What could be so bad about two best friends living together? But what Tommy doesn't know is that Julie is in love with him and has been since they were young. This becomes a problem because Julie, usually wonderful at hiding her feelings and sexual thoughts, now can't stop her attraction to her best friend, which leaves her uncomfortable and uneasy around Tommy. Which then leads her into the arms of another fighter and Tommy doesn't like that one bit because now he sees Julie as more than his best friend. Julie has become a desirable woman that Tommy wants in his bed like he needs water to live.

So what happens when two best friends are so beyond attracted to each other they can't keep their hands to themselves; do they risk their friendship and give in to the sizzling attraction or do they fight it? You'll have to read to find out!

Tommy and Julie's story is a story of the hardships of turning a sacred friendship into an intimate relationship without knowing what the outcome could be. And Abby pulled this off wonderfully. The relationship between Tommy and Julie is a replica to a real life situation. Abby brings to life the problems that many people face when attraction comes into play in a friendship. Abby made me laugh, she made me so angry at Tommy that at times I wish Julie would have slapped him across his face for some of the things he said. She made feel uncomfortable and she made me cry. She had such a way with words that made me feel what Julie and Tommy were feeling, she sucked me in and when the end came, I didn't want to be pulled back out.
I have come to love books about fighters and this story has become one of my favorites. I would recommend this story to anyone who loves a great fighter love story. It won't disappoint.
